Further proof that Internet Explorer sucks!

At michelles place of work (unknown) her computer does not have firefox it has internet explorer. This my friends is what she saw when she viewed my blog in Internet explorer.

click on the picture to get a better glimpse.

Really? This is all you can offer us Microsoft? A browser that can not read a simple line of code? That is beyond ridiculous. I had to go in and rewrite the HTML so that Internet explorer can read what i want people to see. But even then it is not doing exactly what i want it to do. Stupid.

So for all of you Internet Explorer users please please please do yourself a favor and download firefox. I'll make it easy for you and just click here.

Firefox is the superior browser if you don't like it after trying for just one week you can go back to explorer if you have to or you can try these other better browsers.
  • Opera
  • Google Chrome
  • Safari (mainly fora mac)
I love firefox because i can have several tabs at different sites. I don't have to open a new window everytime i click on a link. Even now I have about 8 different tabs open so that I can have more fun. Just to name a few I have open.

  • gmail
  • photobucket
  • facebook (not open now but it could be)
  • my blog
  • youtube
  • a search for something winterguard related. Here is a picture of the tabs. Lovely.

Okay so I think i just proved that i don't work. I do I really do trust me. But that is not the point. The point is to prove how much better Firefox is than explorer.

If you want to read up on the features provided but firefox check this page out. Click here

Thank you for listening to the rantings and ravings of an annoyed person.

Roy Competition & Jennifer

So I already wrote about the roy competition on the Timp blog and sorry but i'm not really interested in re-posting it. It you want to find out what happened check it out.

But here are somethings that are happening. Nothing....except that Jennifer was up here last weekend and we got to see her.

Yes awesome.

I guess her best friend (Jen too) moved to Seattle a few years ago and Jen (sister) has been housing her car. Jen (friend) decided that it was time to get the car and flew down to Arizona to pick it up and Jen (sister) decided that it would be an awesome road trip. ( i do too actually) Jen's (friend) sister got back from her mission on Wednesday or Thursday I really can't remember. So they stopped in farmington to spend some time with her. On friday night we went out to eat at Tucanos...very very yummy. Katherine and Mom both had commitments til 8. So i made a reservation for 8:45. Patrick, Audrey, me, jen and jen made it on time. However, mom and Katherine arrived an hour late. Mom got distracted at her rehearsal and didn't leave until 8:30. I was clearly annoyed. (love you mom I know you lost track of time.) I just thought it was funny. Audrey was really good the entire time but was tired when mom and katherine showed up so we left pretty soon after mom and katherine arrived. So technically Jen and Jen had two dinners one with us and one with mom and Katherine.

I had a really great time. But of course we didn't bring up a camera. It's very rare that i get to see my sisters in Arizona. But it seems like sister over load now. Lets see how many times I have seen them in the last 3 months.

All were at the wedding.

Jen and Jason in florida

Jen and Jason came up to finalize the adoption.

Jen just came up.

On Friday i'll be traveling to Arizona and spending the weekend with all three again.

That's awesome. I love seeing sisters and michelle might drive up from El Paso. Nice!

So think that's it.

Timpanogos Dance Guard Blog

So i created another blog. But it's not that too big of a deal it's just for my students and anyone else who want to know what is going on with the team. But i did design it. Yes another one of Elizabeth's awesome designs. I do believe that make 3. Mine, Michelle's and this one. I'm happy.

I think i'm going to apply some of the things I did to that blog to my blog.

Let me know what you think of the blog. And if there is any information you think i need to add.

2nd competition

On Saturday was our second competition of the season (there are a total of 6) and at this one we took 1st. Yes, Yes we did. I can not describe how happy I was but it wasn't the placement I was happy about. It was about the score. Springville took home 2nd with a score of 51 and we had a score of 59.2. Awesome right? 8 points. Now that's something to proud of. I was sad that i didn't get to see springvilles performance and really don't know if they had a good one or a bad one. But Just because we won does not mean we are done working. If anything we'll be working harder. They are going to want to bridge the gap and I know that Kim (the director of Springville) will. She's good.

I think the other thing to be proud of is...now bear with me with this explaination. We are in Regional AA and the class above us is Regional A. but we are scored on the same sheets. Got it? So if we were in the class above we would have taken home the 3rd place trophy. Can you believe it. That was cool and we had the highest equipment score of the two class. Ha Ha. I was happy. But that was one judges opionion. It all depends on what the judges like. I'm sure the next judge on Saturday won't be as kind. But i am hoping they are. Anyway that was my victory this week.

And the other one is i just finished designing Michelles Photography Blog. I think it looks cool there are a few things that i would still like to do and I'm working it out with the HTML but you'll just have to give me time. And she also has to post picutures. I really can't see what is going on without pictures to complete the blog. But it's still cool that i did it. Check it out.

Thats it for now.

Yeah for me.

As most of you know i teach my own dance team. Actually it's a color guard team but you really can't do guard with out learning dance techniques just like in Cheer. Timpanogos has adopted the name Dance Guard for our team. I really should start referring to the team as a Dance Guard. I'm going off on a tangent.

On Saturday, the 31st, was our first competition of the season. My little team of 9 placed 2nd in our class. Now granted that is out of 4 people but check out the scores.

1st place 57
2nd place 54
3rd place 38
4th place 26

So i'm not too far from first place but 3rd and 4th. Wow! I totally more than doubled 4th places score. So i do think that's an accomplishment and i was the first to perform in the class. Not to take anything away from the 1st place performance (it was a good show) but they performed last in our class. I'm sure i would have been closer to there score or may have gotten 1st. If i performed right before them or right after. The judges just forgot about us. Springville took home first I believe we going to be the two fighting for first the next 2 months.

I'm really proud of my team. I have 9 students and of the nine one has done winter guard before. Two more have only done fall. So that leaves 7 newbie's that started learning this at the beginning of December. Not Bad at all. We have a long long long way to go before we have a perfect show but a 54 for the first competition is not too shabby.
