Audrey the Bear
Look she is sitting. Okay maybe not. the outfit is so bulky it makes it so it is hard for her to move. But it's cute to see her "sitting" at such a young age. It makes me happy to see her grow and learn. She is finding new things to put in her mouth everyday. She loves her thumb and hands. We believe that it is one of her life goals to fit both fists in her mouth. That would be a big mouth if she could do it. She has also graduated to grabbing at everything. she snatches toys out of our hands and grabs anything that is placed in front of her. I'll tell you a funny story in a minute. Audrey's favorite toy is this star that has crinkle paper inside. she likes that everytime she touches it the star makes a noise. At the rate she is going I'm going to have to go buy a new one so that she is not sucking on something nasty.

This weekend Audrey had the opportunity to meet her new cousin cosette. Cosy for short. Travis and Betsy made their way out to utah, to meet the family, while Travis was home from Japan, for his daughters birth. She is three weeks old now and so little. It is crazy to think that Audrey was that small at one time. I just can't imagine it. Audrey had fun with her new cousin but was very upset that there was someone else in the picture. While we were out to dinner with Travis and Betsy, Audrey decided to be a little hell raiser and start doing things that I need to get used to. She was grabbing at the silverware and at the dinner plates. She at one time grabbed patricks fries and food and ended up getting BBQ all over her. And then to top off the night she decided that it was time to set off a diaper bomb. Poop got all over patrick. thank goodness it was at the end of the dinner, after the check came. It was really funny and we gave Betsy and Travis a mean look into the future. Hee Hee Hee! I think the best part was the diaper bomb. (and Mom I had just changed her, so her diaper was not full! it was clean! She just has some forceful poops!)

Easter

Thanks to Aunt Arlene and Uncle JR, Audrey had a beautiful dress for Easter Sunday. Although it was a little big she still looks way too cute in the outfit. The picture we have is not the greatest it's a little fuzzy (thank you aunt Michelle Photography major). We need to take more pictures when we put her in it again. Easter was a good day for everyone. We had a great dinner cooked by grandma Cannon. She made a great turkey. It's sad that we didn't have a Easter egg hunt. But when the baby is only 3 months and the next youngest in the group is 23 it's not the greatest idea to have a hunt.
Tomorrow Audrey will have the opportunity to meet her new cousin Cozy. She is excited and we are too. It's going to be fun to see her Aunt Betsy, Uncle Travis and Grandma Spencer. Will give you pictures soon.
Hope to see you soon and thanks again for reading.

Blessing

On Sunday Feb. 18, 2007, Patrick had the honor of blessing our little bundle of joy. Even though this was patricks first time giving a blessing of this magnitude and he was frightened out of his mind he did a great job. It was such a beatiful blessing. Aunt Katherine was very happy about the blessing because "Audrey now had a name." Good to know that for 8 weeks she didn't have a name. It was a very proud moment for me. Audrey looked so great in her dress. Grandma Cannon did a great job finding it and helping make her look really really wonderful.

(Doesn't she look like a little gremlin in this picture?)
After the meeting everyone made their way to Grandma Cannons house for cake and snacks. The food was very good and we enjoyed it for days. Audrey even had the opprotunity to cut her own cake as you can see from the picture. She was not very happy that mom would do that to her. She hated having her hand moved in a way that she didn't want it to. Audrey let out a very loud cry of hate. It was really cute.
If you would like to look at other pictures of Audrey at her blessing click on the "Audrey's Picture Album" under links.
Thank you for you continued support.

Christmas

Hello everyone, I hope that you are doing great.
Todays Blog is going to be about Christmas and New Years.
Since before Audrey was born she was recieving Christmas presents. She got a diaper bag from her aunt Jenny and
Christine. Lots and lots of presents from grandma and grandpa griffin. Her aunt Katherine got Audrey several beautiful outfits. And grandma cannon got her a cute pink outfit that reminds everyone of suzie zoo who from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
We spent most of the morning at home recovering from Christmas Eve dinner. We decided that we needed to let her calm down because she was too overwhelmed. we finaly made it over to Grandmas house at about 4:00 and opened presents from grandma and grandpa griffin. Once they left to finish the day with others we started to open all the other gifts that we got. We had a bunch and loved everyone of them. We are so grateful that people would be willing to give more after they had give us so much for Audrey. Christmas dinner was fantastic and Audrey slept the best that night because it was such an exciting day.
New years was spent at Provo's First Night at Provo Town Mall. Mom and dad went without Audrey and spent the evening with Grandma Spencer who came to visit. She was so excited to care for her. It's so nice that people love to watch her. If they didn't we would never have a moments reset. I Love family. It makes caring for a child that much easier. not that it's too easy.
Again thank you for thinking of us on Christmas.

December 20, 2006

As most of you know Audrey Marie Spencer graced us with her presence on December 20th, 2006 @ 5:30 P.M. Patrick and I were excited and terrified to welcome this amazing spirit into our lives. To tell you a little about the experience I was in labor for about 15 hours. The contractions started at about 1:00 in the morning but they were not big enough for me to get up. Between contractions I would fall back to sleep at about 4:30 A.M. I started timing the contractions. At first they were about 10 minutes apart and when they got closer I woke Patrick which was at about 5:30. When we were about ready to leave for the hospital my contractions slowed down to 15 minutes and the doctor said that we should not be there until it was 5 minutes apart. Once 5 minutes hit we headed to the hospital. Labor was good and even better with pain killers. I was pushing for about 45 minutes and then she came and it was great.
it's weird to have a kid. I don't think that i will ever get over the feeling. I asked one of moms students parents and they said that they never have gooten over the feeling and their youngest is graduating from high school this year. I just feel so blessed to know that I have been entrusted to care for this little girl. I just hope that I can be a good parent.
Thanks for Reading: more will be coming
