My Olympic Bracket

I love Hockey....and I love brackets...so I combined the two.

Here is my pick for the gold, silver and bronze. It might be totally wrong but all i really care about it the US being in the final game.

Cereal

Tonight I remebered that I have an app on my iPhone that allows me to post from my phone. I decided to test it yet again. The only problem is that it does not have spell check and for those who know me, know I am a horrible speller. I am sorry in advanced.

So, while I sit and watch the Red Wings game. Call me a band wagon fan, if you must, but Patrick grew up in Detroit. Not my fault my husbands hockey team is the best in the Nation. They're totally the Yankees of hockey and I am proud to be a band wagon fan. However they are not doing great this season...might not make the play offs.

Now that I got that off my chest. About last night. It was a YO-YO night again, just like every other night. Audrey got some chicken nuggets, like she had asked, and I then poured myself a bowl of cereal. I like cereal. Brinner is my favorite meal. Once the bowl was ready Audrey decided that she wanted the bowl of cereal and not her chicken nuggets. Being the totally awesome mom I am I gave her the bowl. As I was pouring myself another bowl Audrey looks at me and says "sorry mommy." It was the sweetest most innocent voice ever. I wasn't mad nor upset but she realized she took my food and apologized for it all on her own.

I love my monkey.

Odd and a little scary

The crib that we....as in Dad and Veniece bought audrey was recalled. I found out about it last week and verified that it was our crib model tonight.

I've emailed the company to send it back and to get a voucher for a new crib. If we were not planning on having another little bundle of joy, I AM NOT PREGNANT, I wouldn't really worry about it and chuck the thing, since the voucher is only for a new crib. But since I would like to have another one....eventually....I'm going to send it back in and get the voucher.

By the way I loved this crib. I thought that it was so pretty and the fact that we used if for 3 years. Most of the time as a crib and then for about 6 months as a toddler bed. But it still got a lot of use and was a great crib...or so I thought.

Anyway just wanted to let you know the random news of the day.

Savannah....so super cute

Patrick showed this to me last night. It's so cute and amazing that it almost made me cry.

Speaking of so cute that i want to cry. Yesterday I had gotten Audrey up and dressed and was about to walk out the door to work, before I could wish her a good day. Audrey called out, and on her own without any coaxing from me or Patrick, mind you, "Bye, Bye Mommy. I love you." Then came around the couch to the front door and gave me a big hug and kiss.

It was so clear and perfect. She's never said it on her own before. I've always had to say bye and I love you first.

Then this morning, mom and I had a rehearsal with the Orem Girls because they did not have school. I was attempting to call mom and tell her that I would meet her at the school, to not pick me up, because I had to get Audrey dressed. But she didn't pick up. So mom comes knocking at the door. Audrey hears it and again calls out "Bye Bye mommy, I love you." I then tell her that I was not leaving yet and that I was going to ride with her. And she turns around and yells "Bye Bye Daddy, I love you." But Patrick was leaving with us so he tells her "No, I'm coming with you." You should have seen the look on her face. She was so happy that she was going to be driving with the two of us. I thought it was so cute and loved it so much.

Assignment #4

For assignment 4 we had to take the photographers style/technique that we mimicked last week and create an original image.

Just as a refresher the photographer was Uta Barth.

And these are my photos. Again I could not decide which image to submit. But I had to pick one and send it in. But I don't see why I can't share the images that almost made it.

I ended up submitting this image. I love the color.

this one felt a little dark...but very pretty....or at least I think so.


This made me nervous because it's the view from my office window and I'm pretty sure my teacher would think it's lazy since it's a picture of UVU campus. I had brought the camera to work with me and wanted to test out the camera settings. Not my fault the image looks pretty cool.


Did I make the right choice?

It may not be the best performance but you have to hand it to them. Half of them have never performed in a winterguard show before. Only 4 of them have ever competed in SA before. The girls from Timpanogos were in SRAA last year. They jumped 3 classes. That's unheard of. And on top of that they learned it a month ago. Our guard camp was January 2nd. Some of this stuff they have only known for a week.

Waste of a Morning

Today some company was coming to clean out the air ducts in the apartment. Not by my doing. It was part of the stimulus package for more efficient homes. I'm really not sure. I believe it ended up being free for the owner. Again I am really am not sure. I just know it was annoying.

I am not comfortable with allowing people in my apartment to do things, without me being there. except when it's a bug guy and he tells you, through a mask, that you need to stay away for 2 hours.

I was told that they would be coming between 9 am and noon. The guy ended up showing up at 9 looked in the furnace room and said I'll go and get my tools. I then proceeded to move all the furniture that was covering a heating vent. The couch, a dresser, and a desk, it was very labor intensive. The guy then went upstairs and did the upstairs apartments first. At about 12 I saw the truck drive away. I thought they were just going to get lunch so I waited. But then they never came back. I mean never came back. Not even to tell me what was going on. I don't know if they "did" my apartment or if they are coming tomorrow. If they do I will be super pissed, because I took today off so that I could be there. I am not sure what I am going to do about tomorrow. I would really like to call someone and chew them out. I would also like to refuse the service if they want to do it tomorrow. I don't know.

So now I am at work and am very annoyed about the morning. VERY ANNOYED actually I'm pretty pissed.

It's a little odd that this nasty post ends with a Love, Elizabeth, Patrick and Audrey. Maybe I should end with something happy.

2nd Place

Saturday was the first Winter Guard Competition of the season. It was at Orem High and it was Hosted by UVU Envision. It was a very stressful day but we don't need to dwell on that.

We took home 2nd place with a score of 61.3 and AF was first with a 63. Very close. The girls are excited and so are we.
