UH OH!

A new word has been discovered this past week.

UhOH!

At first the noise started out like a monkeys OHOHOH (Seriously) and then it quickly progressed to a perfectly pitched innocent Uh OH! (maybe not so innocent)

She has found any and every reason to use these words. the instances range from throwing her sippy cup off the high chair to dropping toys in the toilet.

Yes, yes she did drop a toy in the toilet this morning with the uh oh tune soon following. I believe that the toy is still there since Patrick and I needed to rush out the door. Thats going to be fun when someone doesn't remember it is in there. I don't want it to be me. Patrick goes home first today.

Like I said she has found any and every reason to use the words. if she drops a toy while playing with it. If she shuts someone in the closet. Again yes she shut me in the closet yesterday while i was re organizing the blankets and towels. You can't help but laugh at it. I think that is why she likes to do it so much. Right now I think it is cute. But I'm sure soon I'm going to find it incredibly annoying. I just hope not too soon.

Once in a while she will raise her hands and shrug her shoulders while singing this majestic tune. That is when I find it the best. But that is rare. I hope that i can catch it on video one of these days.

Well I just wanted to keep you updated about how the little terror is doing.

Oh about the car. I found all of this out yesterday. Liability was accepted by the girl who hit me. I don't know what has happened with the driver who took off. Anyways since liability was not placed on me we get a free rental car while they fix the Honda. So the car goes in on Monday March 3rd. I hope that we don't have to have the rental for too long. But I am glad that we do not have to pay for a rental ourselves. That was a big sigh of relief. But that sees to be everything.

Loves,
Elizabeth, Patrick and Uh OH!

Car Accident

My clean driving record is ruined. No tickets and no accidents. I'm so mad. At least i made it to 23 without anything. I knew it couldn't last forever but i was hoping it would.

Don't worry nothing too bad happened it was just a fender bender. And might i add it was not my fault. It was some idiots who left the scene. I'm serious. You hear about stuff happening like that but you never imagine that it will happen to you. Stupid person.

What happened was that I was traveling north on state street in Orem. It had just snowed and the roads were pretty slick. A truck that was a few car lengths in front of me wanted to switch lanes from the right to the middle. when they hit the ice and snow build up between the two lanes they started to fish tale. They ended up over correcting the truck too much and ended facing south with there front in the left lane and their end in the middle lane. MY LANE! so what do you think i do. I put on my brakes. which then caused my car to start to slide. My front stayed in the middle lane and my end landed in the right lane. Following me so far.

I ended up stopping a few feet away from the truck. I was just grateful that I didn't hit him. Well as i was celebrating my victory someone rear ended me. Sad. So i did not hit anyone. Thank goodness.

Well the truck seeing the accident made a u turn around the two of us and sped off.

Who would do that? Serious! They had to have know that they caused the thing why else would they have ran away.

Anyways since it was my first accident i really had no idea what to do. The girl and i just waited in our cars for someone to come. but a volunteer police officer was like right behind us and was at our cars immediatly asking if every thing was alright.

When the officer came he asked if we could move our cars to the near by parking lot and there is where he took our statements and took our info. It took like an hour to do the whole thing. I never imagine that it took so long.

Someone else who had seen the accident had called in the license plate of the truck and I also had written the thing down and we both had the same plate. I was proud that in a moment like that i was able to write down the correct plate. Yeah for me!

Anyways once everything was finished I drove to my moms and called our insurance company. Allstate. That took another hour. Well as it turns out the girl that hit me also had Allstate. How random is that!

Later that day i got another call from Allstate wanting a recording of my statement. And you would not believe but that took another hour. Lots of hours wasted in this whole affair for an accident that lasted 10 seconds!

They still don't have a name for the truck driver and they still have not issued liability. But the officer did say that i was the least liable. That is nice but not so nice for Allstate because no matter what they still have to pay for that.

The most odd thing of it is that since it was another Allstate customer that hit me our deductible has been waved. I am not sure how that works out but the lady on the phone told me that when she was explaining how i needed to get the car fixed. Thats nice that i don't have any out of pocket expense. As of now.

But would you believe that the one day that i did not have my camera in my purse i got in an accident. What ever at least we all have camera phones now. I took a few pictures of my car and a few pictures of hers.

Well I'll keep you updated about the whole affair.

Taden

This has been a very interesting month for me. lots has happened. And I'm afraid that no one is going to believe me.

A dear family friends child passed away on Tuesday night. The poor little guy was only 3 years old. I hope that no one hates me for this statement but i think his death has affected me the most. Grandma was 80 and had a wonderful life. This little guy was three. He really was the cutest little guy and happiness just radiated from him. You could not feel sad around him. He loved to smile.

But he is in a better place and we will miss the little guy.

Great Grandma Huish

This has been an interesting week for everyone in the family. Full of drama that I would not like to get into but would just like to mention that there was some so that i can feel better about writing something down about it. I'm sure that made no sense but it made me feel better so ignore it.

I guess i'll start from the beginning.

Last Wednesday we got a call from Patricks mother saying that his grandma was not doing too hot. And that they were not sure what was going to happen. Friday we got a call from her again saying that grandma was not going to last the day. Patrick was not sure if he should go and see her for the last time or if he should leave her alone. Karen said that not many people were coming because they did not want to remember her in this state. I told patrick that i felt he needed to go and see her. And that it didn't matter what she looks like now because you will remember her the way you want to remember her.

So i took the day off and we went up to ogden to see her one last time.

I don't know how patrick felt about it but i thought it was a good thing. It reminded me a lot of what happened with grandpa.

While we were driving by salt lake patrick got a call from his mom saying that he should wait a little longer before coming. We took the opprotunity to stop and pay our respects to president Hinckley. I could go on for ever about that and what happened and i might later.

We finally made it to Ogden and saw her. It was a very peaceful experience. It was nice to see her there. Sad but really nice. You could feel the love and you could feel the peace to was in the room. Its places like that that allow you to reflect on your life. If everyone was in a room like that we would have a whole bunch of philosophers. Maybe its better that we don't feel things like that too much. We'll get too high and mighty.

I would like to say can you imagine an experience like grandma was going through. But we can't. She was so close to the veil so close to such a sacred experience. She really was the next in line for the best Disney ride ever. It almost makes you jealous but not too jealous. It really is like the best ride ever. You want to do it but are just to scared at this moment. i'm too scared and do not want a ride yet. and that is why i am not too jealous.

Anyways I'm turning into what i don't want to be and that is a philosopher. Lets move on.

the next Thursday was the funeral. It was a very nice service. The piano solo was wonderful. Everyone was so nice and made the whole affair very peaceful. Although it was a funeral it didn't seem too sad. It seemed more of a happy vibe than a sad one. I don't know maybe i was a little out of the loop because of audrey. I wish I would have been able to listen to the service more. She was pretty good for a while but she then got a little tired and didn't want to sit still any long. I miss the days when she would just sit and do nothing. Since she has found freedom in walking i literally have not had a moments rest.

Anyways now i'm just rambling. All in all the service was wonderful. I loved every minute we had to spend with family and hope that we can spend more time with them.

Grandma we love you and will miss your happy pink smile.
