Primary vs. Nursery

Audrey is the funniest little thing.

While at church, yesterday, Patrick was walking Audrey to nursery. Now you have to understand one thing. In our old ward building primary was on one side and nursery was on the other. We never once had to pass the primary to get to nursery. So Audrey never knew there was another room of kids. In our new building the two are in the same hall. and depending on how you leave the chapel you might pass the primary or you might not. Yesterday we had to pass primary. upon seeing all the kids in the primary Audrey ran into the room. Patrick quickly grabbed her arm and told her she was too young to be there. But that didn't matter all she understood it as was she was not allowed to go to nursery. And she just started crying and crying. We tried to explain to her that we were on our way to nursery but she wasn't listening.

When we got down the hall to nursery she was still crying and was even crying when she was placed in the room. The only thing that calmed her down was when the teacher placed a big pile of gold fish crackers in front of her on the table. After that she was fine. From what Patrick said the teachers said she was an angel.

I just think it is so cute that she was so excited about nursery that she was upset when she was told she couldn't go. I hope this continues.

Sorry

I really am sorry that i have not posted anything for a while. I guess when the wedding was finally over things started to slow down...but, it didn't halt. We're still trotting along. Me working, Patrick going to school and Audrey terrorizing the apartment...

Guess what that little angel [devil] did last night. A few days ago audrey took a marker to one of the doors and created some very nice audrey art. Patrick wasn't sure how to get it off and left it there til i got home. I sat her down next to the door and explained to her we don't draw on the door. I then started to wipe the mess up with a baby wipe.
She [audrey] so much wants to help and be like mommy. Sometimes it too hard to be mad. You just have to laugh it off.
Last night she took a marker and a wipe and started to draw on the door and then promptly started to wipe it up with the baby wipe. Once she felt she had cleaned it enough. she started to draw again. She stopped when patrick noticed her. By the way we have it all on camera. I'll post it some time. (it is now posted)

Any way...back to what i was saying....not enough was happening for me to write anything. Or at least i did not think it was note worthy. I guess you'll just have to decide for yourself. I guess i'm just going to have to come up with a story from the mundane.

The Wednesday after the wedding grandma went back to California to prep for her surgery. (Knee replacement...go grandma!) I believe it is taking place on the 18th. Mom is flying out on the 17th to drive her to the hospital.

We were going to go down to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving. But about 30 minutes before we were going to leave audrey vomited all over patrick and the couch. We decided that a 5 hour drive was not worth the fussy child and the chance that she would throw up again. So we didn't go down. We ate at moms and it was good.

And really that is it.

I can't think of anything else that has happened in the last few days.

I'll keep thinking.

Love,
Patrick, Elizabeth and Audrey
