Back from Vacation

Audrey and I joined Grandma, Mom, Michelle, Dan and Baby Virginia in Washington D.C. for a week. We were there from Wednesday May 26-June 2nd. We had a lot of fun and did a lot.

Unfortunately, I am not in the mood to type so I'll just post a million and a half pictures. FYI all were taken on my iphone! I love it!

I am warning you now...this post is really long! I counted 95 pictures...that is about 1/3 of the pictures I took. Sorry

Day One - Ford's Theater, The house where Lincoln died, Arlington National Cemetery, & the World War II Memorial.

Day Two - Gettysburg

Audrey really liked Dan...I hope he wasn't annoyed

Cemetery Ridge

Little Round top is on the left and Big Round top is on the right

From the top of Little Round top

again from the top of little round top

Day Three - The Smithsonian's, the Pentagon Memorial

Seriously I want the new iphone with the flash...no more blurry pictures!

Day four - Old Town Alexandria...Silly me I only took like 3 pictures...and this was one of them...it was really hot and humid that day...and we did more than just old town...but I can't remember what we did. I  remember now...mom, michelle, dan and Virginia went to the concert at the capitol..I stayed home (at the hotel) with grandma.

Bored Yet?

Day Five - Memorial Day - Air Force Memorial Ceremony, Air Force Memorial,

I didn't get pictures of the ceremony since I was spending more time making sure audrey would be quiet and that she would stop eating food off the floor. She keeps pretending to be a Kitty Cat and she will eat food off the floor by licking it up. It was pretty gross. It's funny when she is in this character she will respond to kitty and will do what I ask her to do. If I say Audrey she'll ignore me. Funny :)

Horrible picture of me...

This is the wreath mom and grandma bought to honor grandpa and his squadron

I love the shadow in this picture...michelle was jealous she did not get a picture of it. WAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Back to Arlington to Honor Grandpa

Day Six - Back to Arlington...one last time, The National Zoo, The top of the Washington Monument.

Watergate!

The Zoo

This lion decided to teach audrey about the birds and the bees early...but then the lioness ran away and then the lion roared. I've never heard a lion roar at the Zoo. It was pretty cool.

On our way to Washington Monument

I guess that's it. I'll post about Texas later...Sorry.

Class Assignment 1-3

In this class we are learning illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop. I know photoshop but the others I do not...sad I know. Anyway we have to do a bunch of silly projects for the class. I don't want to bore you with the details of why we have to do the project...just trust me we have to do them to learn different skills

Project #1-a quilt.

Project #1a- the dot to dot (this was to teach about vectors, we had to trace the dot to do and then color it.)

Project #2-the orange and the pearl

project #3- the color blend wheel.

Don't judge me!

Update....late in the making

So, a few things have been going on and I am sorry that I have not been here lately, But I'm not sure if anyone cares too much. Oh well,

Patrick is in the middle of his spring/2nd to last semester at BYU. HAHA! I am excited. I don't know if you remember me talking about feeling I've been in somewhat of a rut and feeling like we were approaching a black hole.

remember this post from January 28th?

I'm happy to announce is starting to lift, just like I predicted. However it's still a bit of mystery. But here are somethings that are going on.

#1 I applied for a new job on campus. I don't know if I'll get the position. I hope I do, that's why I applied. not to get into to much detail about my personal life...and finances and what not, but the minimum salary is $10,000 more a year then what I make currently. I'm a little excited and very much qualified for the position. The application was due last monday, the 10th, I've still not heard a thing from them. But I am like 99% sure I'll get an interview.

& #2 Patrick and I have been giving it some thought and feel that it would actually be better if he takes his 2 classes as independent study. He won't receive financial aid for the summer semester but we feel that the benefits of him getting a full-time job out weigh the $800 fees for the 2 classes. We have the money to pay for that...anyway I'm just trying to say that patrick is going to start looking once this spring semester is finished the 2nd week of June. How exciting is that! I am really excited. But there are still a million possibilities. If I don't get this job then we'll go where every we need to go but if I do we'll stay for a few more years. I don't want to bore you.

I am getting closer to graduating. If I did full time in the fall and full time in the spring I could graduate next april. But I can't do that....so I am just going to take classes as I can. I am taking a class called computer applications. I'll post about those later.

Audrey is becoming such a bright and adorable little girl. On sunday night we sat down for family prayer and without asking she started to pray. I'm not sure what she was saying and what she was praying for but she started with heavenly father and ended with in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. No prompting...seriously.

Her favorite songs are now twinkle twinkle little star and Popcorn Popping. She requests them every night during singing time of our bedtime routine.

I've not posted pictures in a while so here you go....

you know, my iphone really does do some good images...at least I think so.

I think that is it. I'm excited to go the Washington D.C. and Houston next week.
