Couple things
Patrick is sick...again. I sent him to the instacare yesterday because he was complaining of stuff coming out of his eye. I was afraid it was pink eye from Audrey and figured it would be better to kill it now than later. It ended up not being pink eye just a really bad cold. Seriously what is wrong with us. I know that when your stressed your immune system is weak but man oh man can it be any weaker? It seems that if anyone around us has a cough or a sniffle we get it 10 fold. Ugh! I'm just annoyed with being sick all the time. I can't wait for warm weather.
Speaking of which. I spent the week sleeping on the couch, SHHHHH! were having marital problems. There I said it. It's out in the open......Just Kidding, No were not having marital problems. We're doing great. I had a really bad cough that would flare up every time I would get into bed and the only way to appease the cough was to sit up. But I would end up falling off my large pillow pile and would slip between my large stack and Patricks pillow and then the coughing would commence. For 2 nights patrick left the bed and slept on the couch because the coughing was so bad. And then I decided it wouldn't be fair to him to sleep on the couch all week. And I have to say the couch wasn't so bad. It was pretty comfy and it helped the cough.
Going back to yesterday. Patrick was gone for about and hour and a half. He got back at about 12:15. I was planning on taking audrey to church but was waiting for him to get home so I could get in the shower. I figured I could show up for the last 2 hours of church so Audrey could go to primary. It wasn't a big deal. So patrick gets home and I ask, since he has shoes on, to take out the trash...I know mean wife...and while he was out, seriously like 30 seconds, Audrey starts crying and then coughing and then wouldn't you know it the thing vomited all over me, the couch and the carpet. It was nasty. She showed no signs of being ill before the episode. But I didn't want to risk it so I threw her is the bath, washed her hair, blow dried it and then put her down for a nap. She slept from 12:45ish to 4:30. Not kidding. I don't know if she was tired or sick. she woke up just fine, no fever, no nothing. She was hungry and asked for a sandwich. I'm thinking I didn't properly judge how upset she really was. As you know this is not the first time she's thrown up because she was upset. Anyway I didn't have carpet cleaner so I sent the sick Patrick out to the store to get carpet cleaner and some drugs to make himself feel better. I ended up spending the afternoon cleaning. I did all the dishes, swept and mopped, cleaned the bathroom, straighten up the living room, and did a couple loads of laundry. I was pretty proud. Nothing like a clean home especially when the Visiting Teachers are coming over.
Moving on....Audrey is getting better at counting.
right now it's 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 18. 19, and 20. Lots of missing numbers but no big deal, she's learning. We're really working on 4 and 5. It's cute.
Any letter she sees, And I mean any letter, starts her singing the alphabet. It's starts out good A, B, C, D, E, F, and then she skips to J, and then O, P, then from there is 5 minutes of singing random letters she can remember. Again super cute.
She has a new favorite song...Skinnamarink. I learned it from watching the Elephant show. Here's video...Michelle & Katherine you'll love this.
Audrey really likes singing it and requests it often. I think she likes the waving hands.
Pretty much the last few days have been filled with NCAA March Madness. Seriously, we recorded 12 hours of Basketball on Friday. I don't think patrick watched all of it...but enough.
On Saturday we went up to Layton to the Classic Fun Center for Cozy's Birthday Party. Audrey had a ton of Fun. I have video that I've been meaning to upload to you tube. Maybe I can get it up today. She really loved it. She ran around and around and was screaming and laughing. It was incredible cute. I love it when she is having fun and laughing it make me happy. I know, sound dorky, but it really does make me happy to see Audrey having fun.
It really wasn't the worlds most exciting week. I spent most of the week at home. The coughing just killed me I was so tired that I couldn't wake up in the morning and ended up going to work a few hours late.
I think that's it.

Assignment #7
This weeks assignment was pretty interesting.
A guy by they name of Tom Heal came in and asked the class to design a real estate brochure. This was a real life project. He's going to be giving the student with the best design $100 and then will use it for his business. I'm not going to lie...I'm a little excited about it.
This is what I came up with.
This would be printed front and back.
This would be incase he decides to only have a single page brochure.

What do you think?
I'll let you know if I win

Weekly Update
I told you I really only have time to write one post a week.
A few things that have happened.
Patrick and I are no longer Nursery leaders. I'm a little sad and happy about that.
Audrey has pink eye...and maybe an ear infection. I had to stay home on Monday because she can't go to daycare until 24 hours after she started the medication. I took her to the doctor on Sunday. And no she did not go to primary. We did the sacrament meeting thing and then went home...she was looking ill and I didn't want her to get the others sick.
The on Tuesday morning her eye was still pussing, EWE, and Patrick didn't think that would be a good thing to have at daycare. So he took the morning shift and I took the afternoon.
We have to put eye drops in 3 times a day. It's been tough she HATES it, and I mean HATES it.
Saturday was the Riverton Competition. The girls took 3rd.
Here is the video..
It was a really bad competition. We were stuck between the 25 AF girls and the 25 Davis girls. I guess both teams, just a few of them...not all the girls, were being a little mean to the Orem Girls and said some stuff to them. I don't want to go into detail but that's just not cool. Be nice people....it's a competition not a WAR.
Then on top of that the music "skipped" and the kid turned it off 5 seconds into it. And then he didn't properly restart them and the Timing and Penalties Judge had to tell him to restart over and over. He did it wrong 4 times. On the 5th time he got it. That would Ice even the best performers. Even though it was a tough start. I thought it was a pretty good show, but we still have loads to do.
Patrick is still stressed to no end. We are past midterms and only have 5 more weeks. BYU's finals start on April 16th. The spring and summer terms are going to be a breeze compared to this winter semester. We can't wait.
Nothing else is happening. I'm starting to think about the summer and marching band and what I am going to do about a guard. All 4 of my girls are seniors. I'm starting fresh this next year. I'm going to have to do some serious recruiting.
I think that's it.

Assignment #6
I'm like 2 weeks behind...but that's okay.
For this assignment we met at a studio in the area. I believe it's my teachers studio.
Click on the picture below to link to his site. He really is great.

Anyway, We met at his studio and learned about lighting, and posing, and broad light and short light, and angle of incident light...and it goes on and on, I think I learned more in this class than any other. We also had the chance to use the studios lights. It was pretty cool. I got the put a receiver thingy in the hot shoe, that made the lights go off. (I keep calling it a horse shoe...why? I don't know.)
These are the 5 Images that I am turning in.
This girl was hard to work with...and, as you can see, she wore this GIANT sweater that didn't give her a flattering figure. It's only suppose to be a head and shoulders shot. Good thing I stayed back, the sweater made it look bad. And I had to turn this into a Black and white because it looked weird with a white background and a black outfit. The only color was coming from her face. It was odd. Can you tell I was not too fond of her. And this was the best image of the 15 I have of her. It was annoying.

This is Whitney. She was really nice and super easy to work with. She was willing to move around and listen to what you asked her to do. I really liked her.
The last image of her was the "One chance" photo. We had to position her and then set the camera to the proper setting and take the shot. It was to prove we understand lighting and camera setting...I still don't. But I think I did a pretty good job.
This was Maria or Marie, I can't remember. She gave funny faces, you would to if you had to have 13 people take the same picture of you, but was really nice.
What do you think?
I'm a little proud.
