Hand Foot and Mouth

Poor Audrey!

The little one has a something called hand foot and mouth disease.

What happens is that it is a rash that grows into blisters. Ouch! She started out with some sores on her lips which quickly turned into sores in her mouth. Followed by blisters and sores on her rear. This thing should be called hand foot mouth and rear. She has been in so much pain the last little while it is insane. But we took her to the doctor and he gave her a mix of Tylenol and codeine. she is felling real good. I mean really really good.

Because she is so out of it or loopy she has been running into everything. Last night she literally ran into the couch and bounced off hitting her head on the floor. Patrick and i were positive that this would be followed by a crying fit and she just started laughing and laughing. Got back up and started running again.

She has found comfort in pinks the pink pig or bear that Kaylee gave her and her blanket from grandma Griffin. She will grab both and just walk around carrying them everywhere. When she decides that tripping on the blanket is no longer fun she trades it for her sippy cup of milk. Even in though she is pretty drugged most of the time, there is those few times during the day when the codeine wears off and she is just a big grump. She really is not sure what she wants. one minute she wants to be held by you and the next she wants to be put down. Or she wants to sit on your lap on the couch or have you hold her standing up. It is very frustrating for both parties. but then she gets more codeine in her system 15 minutes later she is back to fun silly loopy audrey. Aren't drugs great?

Anyways I just wanted to keep you updated about the situation. The poor little thing. I just feel awful for her.

Poor thing. We can totally relate. Jordan had that when he was in nursery....stinkin' nursery germs. I hope she's better soon, although, will you (or she) miss the drugs?? hehehe j/k :)
