Yeah for me.

As most of you know i teach my own dance team. Actually it's a color guard team but you really can't do guard with out learning dance techniques just like in Cheer. Timpanogos has adopted the name Dance Guard for our team. I really should start referring to the team as a Dance Guard. I'm going off on a tangent.

On Saturday, the 31st, was our first competition of the season. My little team of 9 placed 2nd in our class. Now granted that is out of 4 people but check out the scores.

1st place 57
2nd place 54
3rd place 38
4th place 26

So i'm not too far from first place but 3rd and 4th. Wow! I totally more than doubled 4th places score. So i do think that's an accomplishment and i was the first to perform in the class. Not to take anything away from the 1st place performance (it was a good show) but they performed last in our class. I'm sure i would have been closer to there score or may have gotten 1st. If i performed right before them or right after. The judges just forgot about us. Springville took home first I believe we going to be the two fighting for first the next 2 months.

I'm really proud of my team. I have 9 students and of the nine one has done winter guard before. Two more have only done fall. So that leaves 7 newbie's that started learning this at the beginning of December. Not Bad at all. We have a long long long way to go before we have a perfect show but a 54 for the first competition is not too shabby.

Poor Camera

Well, It is official the camera and camcorder have not been found. I've come to terms with the loose. I'm still a little sad about the pictures so Veniece, Jenny and Michelle send me what you have...or what you are willing to share. Having some pictures is better than none.

I guess i better start blogging again. It's been a while since i have written anything. Life is moving along. Nothing interesting has happened and we have no plans for anything interesting. and that is all I have to say about that.

Christmas vacation was a good one. (except for losing the camera....fyi I'll be mentioning that a lot. It still stings.) We left for California on Friday the 19th. Our original plan was to leave after i got off of work and roll into Las Vegas very very late. But then we found out that there was going to be a giant storm from salt lake to st. George. We thought it was in our best interest to leave in the morning and be in front of the storm. Keith was kind enough to let me go. (Thank you) I think we rolled out of here at about 10. Got to Vegas in record time and had no weather problems. it was beautiful.

We spent Saturday the 20th in Vegas because patrick wanted to go to the Las Vegas Bowl. So he and Brice went. Brice enjoyed the game....patrick on the other hand did not. Lindsey and i stayed home and enjoyed our time with the kids. We went to the awe..wait for it...some outlet mall. Because we were traveling we really didn't have a party for Audrey but Brice was nice enough to buy Audrey her own cake. thank you that was sweet. We finished the drive on Sunday. That was a horrible drive. Between Las Vegas and the civilization in california you need to climb a nice sized mountain. I think it is like 80 miles between gas stations. Anyway a woman ran out of gas on the way up the mountain. But since there is construction going on she couldn't pull off the road. I think we traveled like 10 miles in an hour. It was frustrating. We only know about the woman running out of gas because at the top of the mountain there was a construction exit and a cop car was pushing her up the exit ramp while we passed by. i know...right? I hope the cop ticketed her just for being an annoyance.

We went to Disney land on the 23rd. Which was surprisingly not crowded. i think the longest we waited for a ride was 20 minutes. Not bad for Disneyland during the busiest time of the year. I could spend like an hour talking about Disneyland but all you need to know was it was great but grandma had an emergency and we had to leave early. It's okay we are planning on going back so that we can finish out the trip. plus grandma is doing really really great after her knee surgery and actually said that she wants to take Audrey to Disneyland. I'm all for that.

Wow this getting long...i'll finish it up later.

Super Sad

As some of you know we went to Florida for some R and R with Dad and Venice. We left last Friday and our plane was at 7 in the morning so we had to leave the condo at about 5. anyway to make a long story short we left our cameras at the condo. and every time we have called the company to see if the have found it we are just given the run around.

For instance i called that morning and asked the guy if the room had been cleaned and he told me no and didn't give me anymore information and practically hung up on me. being Sad about the whole thing i started to cry and so Patrick got on the phone and they told him that the room had been cleaned and that we would have to talk to housekeeping the next day. I don't think a room like that can be cleaned in 2 minutes. And so the next day we called and housekeeping doesn't have it. Patrick filled out a Lost and Found report over the phone. But i really doubt that they really do anything. They just haven't been really nice about the whole thing. I'm not really sure what to do now.

So all in all I'm a little depressed about the whole thing. I really could care less about the cameras themselves all i really care about were the pictures and the videos. I no longer have video of Audrey playing in the ocean for the first time. Anyway....I'm making my self feel bad. I'm stopping now. I'll keep you updated about everything.
